Our trips
Every trip includes a local guide and lunch; the three national-park trips also pick you up at your Prague hotel and cover every entry fee. The real difference is pace and direction — one full day with the big climb, an easier winter version, a transfer that ends in Dresden, and a private walk that never leaves Prague.

“Saxon Tours was built around one region we know by heart. Every trip on this page is one we designed ourselves and guide every week — I grew up in these valleys, and so did the rest of the team.”
Milan Volf, founder
About the region
Two hours north of Prague, the Elbe sandstone country begins — two national parks in one landscape, Bohemian Switzerland on the Czech side and Saxon Switzerland across the German border. Far enough to feel like another world, close enough to be back in Prague for dinner. The places below are the reason people come.

The largest natural sandstone arch in Europe and the landmark of Bohemian Switzerland. The climb up is the one demanding walk of the region — and worth every step of it.
Included in: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip

A stone bridge strung between sandstone towers, 194 metres above the Elbe, just across the German border. Arrive before the coaches — as we do — and Saxony’s most photographed view is nearly empty.
Included in: All three national-park trips

A labyrinth of rock towers you walk through rather than look at — the backdrop of The Chronicles of Narnia. Children treat it as a natural playground.
Included in: All three national-park trips

Rather stay in town? The old coronation route from the Powder Tower to the Castle — walked downhill, with the historic Tram 22 doing the hill for you.

Worth knowing
An honest comparison. For some trips it makes sense — for this one, less than people expect.
Doable to Hřensko in season — but three-plus hours each way with changes.
Gets you everywhere — if you are willing to drive and park in two countries.
Picked up at your hotel, both countries in one day, nothing left to organise.
Why us
Not a seat in a coach — a day designed and guided by people who live in the park.
Add up what the day includes
Booked separately, the transport alone gets close to the price. €149 buys the whole day — planned, guided and handled.
Bastei at ten is empty and silent. At noon it is a queue for the same photo. Knowing the hour matters more than knowing the trail.
Not seasonal staff reading a script, but people who grew up here, in English, who know which path is icy and which viewpoint is worth the detour.
Hotel pickup, transport across the border, lunch with a drink, all entry and parking fees, water. You do not open your wallet again.
Small enough that the van stops when you want a photo, and that lunch is a table of people talking rather than a canteen.
