Our guide Andrea was great she showed us all the sites and gave us just enough info about the sites. She gave us plenty of time to see everything and take photos. She never rushed us. The stop for lunch with traditional Czech cuisine was excellent. We had a really great experience and would highly recommend booking with Saxon tours.
Our day trip from Prague to Saxon Switzerland National Park was great. It rained for a short while but our guide was prepared with several umbrellas. Andrea and Milan were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We walked around a bit at the first stop at the park and checked out the view from various viewpoints (an hour or so), which were amazing. Then went to lunch in a village about an hour away for some traditional Czech food. Afterward, we drove just down the street to another entrance to the park where we walked through the sandstone rock formations.
It was great to get out of the city and see nature. The land and views were beautiful, and our guide was a wonderful addition to our day.
I wish we could have hiked from Bastei bridge to the city down below, but due to bridge construction that was not an option.
Overall, fun day. I’d recommend it!
This was a great day trip out of Prague! The tour was well organized and they took care of everything right down to the bathrooms. Lunch was good & they accommodated vegetarians. In winter it unfortunately skips Pravčická Gate and the Boat Ride, but it’s nice to not have to deal with crowds this time of year and the Tisa Rocks Labyrinth hike in the snow was a nice alternative (could be slippery and may be challenging for seniors). Other members of the tour were friendly, and it was a manageable size of all ages. We got to Prague efficiently before dinner time. Unfortunately, the advertised Wi-Fi network didn’t work in the vehicle, but I didn’t ask them to troubleshoot. Adam with Saxon was a great host!
